FOR THE WINTER BREAK

MY BIG QUESTION IS
Will This 2019 be a better more united year for us around the world?
For the winter break I wish to spend more time with my family and really enjoy and appreciate one another. Family is really important to me, I love them. I also wish to keep studying over this winter break and have in mind what I want to do in my life and what I want to do for a living after my high school exit.

HAMLET ESSAY

Why is it people change? Could it be because they mentally want to or because of the emotional situation they’re being placed in? Truth is the majority of the time, it’s situations that swithes up their emotions either in a good or bad way. This is considered a Dynamic character, a character changing throughout the situations it goes through in life, lessons they are to be taught. In the play of Hamlet we come upon insane characters, the character I thought had more of an impact in this play was Ophelia. Ophelia changed throughout the play, becoming a dynamic character in a tragedy way.
       Ophelia is considered a dynamic character because in the beginning of the story, she is presented as a loving,caring,innocent young women that so much wanted to please her father and Hamlet,no matter the affection it may cause her. Ophelia is like a pet, she does as she is told to by her father and brother. She’s madly in love with Hamlet , she so loving and caring for Hamlet,not knowing the truth of Hanlets way of thinking.
       As Ophelia starts to become more open and cautious, she realizes truths of Hamlet. Ophelia starts to become insane, therefore starts singing instead of speaking her mind. She becomes mad at Hamlet, Hamlet’s reason to not love a women started when the inciting incident is present on the play, the appearance of the ghost. Hamlet drives Ophelia insane with messing with her reputation. Hamlets dirty talk in a scene asking Ophelia if he could lie his head on her lap causing an uncomfortable feeling for Ophelia, changing her emotional state of mind.
       Throughout these situations Ophelia has faced , thanks to Hamlet, she’s at that point where she is completely going crazy and stressful. Ophelia is overtaken by the feeling of Melancholy, flashing back to Hamlets behavior of women being ‘breeders of sinners’, saying that Hamlet thinks little of women. Ophelia’s mind is lost and in the play we encounter Ophelia climbing a tree, and the tree branch she was at had snapped causing Ophelia to hit the river and drown. We could say that Ophelia could have been suicidal at this point.
         In this play Ophelia’s death, overall reflected the theme and tone of the story because it shows that living in tragedy with bit of importance in your life isn’t worth it, therefore death becoming a solution to that problem. I conclude that Shakespeare had a unique perspective of writing and a unique way of thinking about life in his times of survival. He was a great writer who throughout his writing we can understand his way of thinking and the way he spectated things. In this play, Ophelia’s  personality changes throughout the play due to the things she went through.

THE CLOWNS OF DEATH

I FEEL that Shakespeare uses the clowns in a graveyard because it represents Mystery and a creepy feeling, but nowadays a clown represents a selfish , deathful role model. The movies in this century have ruined the clowns reputation, and I feel that clowns have a lot of mysterious aspects , for example the paintings on the face, why certain colors why not all black ? Well clowns represent mystery which is why I think Shakespeare uses clowns.

HAMLET 2.0

If there were to be a Hamlet 2.0 aka a hamlet in 2018 remake the technology will probably change everything, there would have been probably cameras of King Claudius killing Hanlets father. Hamlet would most likely find the video on his phone. There would be more enhanced characters and more color and they would have probably made it into a Musical Movie. With the technology in Hamlet 2018 , I think killing would not have been part of the Climax of the story but it would be like Videos being uploaded to make King Claudius look bad. Hamlet 2.0 would be a whole different thing.

I MEAN WHAT I SAY

Integrity to me means having the power of being honest and not letting the bad take over you. Being honest is difficult when it comes to a real serious conflict between others and it’s hard keeping that integrity within you but it will be worst not to show your integrity because then no one will ever trust you when you decide to use your integrity. It’s better to becoming used to saying the truth so things will go better for you, being honest counts a lot and having that power to be honest impacts others and let’s them know you can be trusted and makes you a stronger human and a better parent in the future ; it makes you a stronger leadership person.

STAYING POWER

What stays with me when we’re done with a section of hamlets play is the thing that stood out more, that impacted me the most . Something I didn’t expect. The main points stay with me the most also because it’s not boring and when something isn’t boring it sticks to you more often.

HAMLET AND ME

The connections of Hamlet vs the stuff that go on in modern America today are pretty similar and also different. In Hamlet we see that Hamlet is seeking for revenge, in situations like these our modern America could also be known for that because mostly people seek to look for revenge, they can’t leave things as they are. The rather stick to getting revenge which in my opinion harms and makes things worst, it may not affect as much but sometimes it may affect others who aren’t involved. I’ve witnessed revenge in my family for example not as much cruel revenge but still gets me mad because revenge just makes things worst. For example my brother gets mad , hits my sister, my sister keeps going and hitting him back instead of just sucking it up and tell my mother to calm my brother down. It’s something that irritates me because in some cases they throw stuff at each other and it ends up hitting me, I calm myself and go to my mother and tattletale even if after they stay mad at me but hey I just ended a war so we all win. In Hamlet he decides to refuse on listening to his father whom told him to not look for revenge, it doesn’t clearly tells us Hamlet will seek for revenge but it does point out some points where his intentions are revenge on his step-father aka The King. In Hamlet we also come over Trust, and trust is a big thing for Hamlet. Trust in this world of ours we live in Today is going extinct, trust is hard to obtain nowadays. Trust is something that mattered a lot to our Hamlet Author, William Shakespeare. He says “Love all, trust few, do wrong to none” one of his very popular quotes. Trust is a value that is similar to Hamlet and our modern America.

THE PLAN WITHIN THE PLAY

I think that Hamlet is going to probably seek out for revenge on his uncle by causing a murder against his uncle. I also think that Hamlet May also contempt suicide. According to what his players, there’s evidence that Hamlet will drown his uncle in misery and find his guilt . When Hamlet talks down about himself it proves and shows us sign of not wanting to live anymore and forget about this whole Uncle  is a murder thing .

HAMLET:TRUST ME

How do the characters demonstrate their desire to trust, and their reluctance to trust?  How do we know that trust is an issue for Hamlet?  For the ghost of Hamlet's father, the king?  What does it say about Polonius that he sends Reynaldo to spy on Laertes?

The characters in this play have a desire to trust by showing their loyalty to whom they have a strong relationship with , for example the relationship with Hamlet and Horatio. The character of King Claudius shows a grieve action of trust upon Hamlet, Hamlet pretends to have trust in him but deep within is refused to trust him. The Trust Hamlet gives the ghost aka his father, is significant because The ghost calls Hamlet privately to have a chat . Trust is an issue for Hamlet because he has had a trust upon his mother and his uncle but he has lost that trust toward them after speaking with the ghost . Polonius doesn’t trust Hamlet.

WHAT A CHARACTER

In Hamlet, Shakespeare goes to great lengths to describe the character of Hamlet.  He uses both direct and indirect characterization to help the reader get to know Hamlet.  Here are some examples.  Some examples I have identified  was when Hamlet points out ‘His canon 'gainst self-slaughter!’, this defining Hamlet with having suicidal thoughts because of what is going on in his life. Another example was when Laertes was having his dialogue with his sister warning her to stay away from Hamlet saying the following “He may not, as unvalued persons do,
Carve for himself; for on his choice depends”. With this meaning arhat Laertes describes Hamlet as a selfish being. [Direct]

Third example was when Horatio says “Dared to the combat; in which our valiant Hamlet--

For so this side of our known world esteem'd him”, he describes Hamlet as a Brave , Trustworthy soul[Direct]

WHATS THIS ALL ABOUT

So far in the play of Hamlet, I find it interesting how his life has been the opposite of what everyone wishes their life was, his father dies and his mom marries his uncle after his father dies, and the mother having no simple gesture in her face of any sorrow after his father death. I’m concluding it’s what his uncle and his mother wanted, his father to die in order for them to reign their empire. Hamlet feels like taking his own life away will solve it but it’s against Gods Rule, aka a sin. With a little hope in this story, we find Hamlets Father Ghost roaming around and some swore to have seen him many times.

POST WORTH SHARING

So Dr.Preston provided us a topic of imagining a time of humans becoming extinct. The part of myself where I actually want to talk about something decides to switch up the topic a bit by adding “ity” to “human”. The only thing that is probably going to extinction is not humans but “humanity”. Nowadays people have forgotten the humaneness with one another. It is sad how this society hasn’t become isolated from the humanity within us. Now, there’s just hate roaming our world and few love, who has ruined our humanity, well I’d have to say ourselves, yes ourselves because you can’t let other people change you into someone you’re not, be kind, be good, just because other people do bad things or do bad to others, has no reason for you doing that too. “Love all, trust few, do wrong to none”(William Shakespeare).

MY THOUGHTS AFTER HIGH SCHOOL

My life after high school.....not even I can see my life after high school. It won’t be easy. How will I fundraise after high school, will have to be finding a job first. Getting a job will benefit me in earning the money I need in order to start a business. My plans of going to college were off, I don’t plan on going to college,but many say I should. I’m stubborn when it comes to this education life, in my opinion and my lifestyle I want to be different and succeed without college help. All my life I Somewhat been self-taught. I had to learn things my own way, my life wasn’t easy and still isn’t easy. As a “successful” student many people say college is the road to success. In my case I want to be the person who takes the road less traveled, may sound really dumb to others but it’s  just my way of thinking. I want to start a business, start from the bottom and end at the top soon. I want to prove many human beings wrong. We all have to start at the bottom, yes it’s true some are born at the top but are they really going to see the reality if they don’t struggle in life? No. My plan is investing my money I earn, study and read a lot about business, and keep learning more and more things because everyday is a chance to learn something new. With the help of my God anything is possible, I will maintain to keep improving my self in every aspect I can.

CHARACTER STUDY(I)

As I come across many enemies I am still alive, working my way to make food come easier for me. I have adjusted to the climate and with my surroundings. Ice don’t seem to melt here but my friends and family seem to not make it by the end of the day. Our greatest enemies the seals have sneaky way a to capture our loved ones. My destination is on an island of ice, an island where us the penguins are protected by our greatest friend, a man whom keeps seals out of the island, the IZ island. My journey will be tough but not impossible, I will get my family to the island in order to guarantee their safety and begin a new life there. Even better the island is surrounded by many fish and our great friend will keep us well fed.

FIRST IMPRESSIONS ON CHAUCER AND CANTERBURY TALES

Chaucer was a guy of many jobs and talent that had an old English way of expressing his writing in. Mature matter. It’s important to study his lifetime English poet to relate it to our modern English right now . Chaucer catches my attention more because I feel like his writing tells us a lot on how England was back then.

Comic Story (Poetic Theme)

Through my years of aging I have experienced many things. Through experience you learn many things, and it’s like what my dad has said to me before,”the best way to learn is with life situations”. But what I’m going to tell is not a life lesson or serious, but humorous. A question I often get in my life which I have decided to use it and make it comical for this part of my blog. I get asked “Why don’t you let your hair down”? I ain’t Repunzel to let down my hair...well maybe I get asked this a lot because I always have it up in a bun, not a burger bun, although that would sound good right now, but anyways it’s a term which describes the way I like to keep my hair, or wait could they possibly also ask me because my hairstyle is the most hideous thing in the world and it scares off little kids. In my case when people ask me it’s like me asking people “Why don’t you wear your shirt backwards”? They will say because it’s uncomfortable most likely, it’s the same with me and my hair. I love having  my hair as a donut top while other girls like having it as a spaghetti or fusilli hairstyle. :)

The week in review

In the past week I learned that satire is a form of making fun of problems in the world today , also maybe known as being sarcastic. I don't quiet remember everything from last week to be honest. I do recall that no matter how bad it can be for you, you have to appreciate the little things people do for you .

Tone

People have their many ways of expressing their tone in writing and reading. You can identify the possible tone the author is using by the form of diction, imagery, syntax, or characterization that is being used. The details the author gives either in their words or their sentence points out the tone of the author and the mood the author was feeling at that time.

The making of a Satire

The making of my satire was difficult to brain storm because I didn't quiet make fun of the problem. I feel like next time humor has to be added. I should also include many examples that I see in the world nowadays. My satire was  interesting to when I pointed out  what is being left out when the problem is being faced. It's difficult to make fun of something the whole world praises.

In my case I feel like what's silly is when students say or act like they can't live without their phones. -.-

I feel like they should stop interacting with a screen and start realizing their surroundings and their family. Family is important, imagine if one of your family members were to die today and all you did was lock yourself in a room behind a screen. Appreciate every moment with the ones you love, go out more and experience life more, believe me it's way more beautiful and time worthy:) I'm not saying to never use your phones again but to try and interact more with your family as much as you can.

HOW I LEARN

In order to get my work done, I set my alarms at different times.

An alarm for my school homework, an alarm for my chores at home, and after I've done all my priorities I have the rest of the day to watch a movie, work on my sketches, and practice soccer.

When I want to learn or memorize information I do it towards the end of the day in order to remember it better. I either use flashcards or take notes and go over them several times.
